MILWAUKEE (July 27, 2010) – The 2011 Custom Vehicle Operations™ (CVO) Road Glide® Ultra is a new, high-end touring motorcycle designed for style, comfort, and performance. This limited-production bike features a frame-mounted fairing, chrome trim, and stunning paintwork. It also boasts exclusive audio, navigation, and seating upgrades, making it a standout among touring motorcycles.
Powered by the Screamin' Eagle® Twin Cam 110™ V-Twin engine, the CVO Road Glide Ultra is not only powerful but also incredibly stylish. Harley-Davidson® CVO models are designed for those who want the finest in custom paint, accessories, and performance, setting a new standard in Harley-Davidson style and engineering.
The CVO Road Glide Ultra is built on the Harley-Davidson Touring chassis, featuring a strong, single-spar frame and a two-piece swingarm for durability and responsive handling on long rides. Dunlop® Multi-Tread dual-compound tires provide excellent grip and extend rear tire life, while air-adjustable rear shocks allow for varying passenger and luggage loads. The bike’s suspension is tuned for both comfort and confident handling.
The bike features a frame-mounted fairing for lighter steering and dual headlamps. The cockpit-style instrument display adds a touch of sophistication, and ventilated fairing lowers ensure comfort on long rides. ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and cruise control come standard on this model.
Key Features of the CVO Road Glide Ultra:
- Screamin' Eagle Twin Cam 110 Engine: This 1803cc V-Twin engine produces 115 ft. lbs. of torque at 4,000 RPM and is equipped with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) and Electronic Throttle Control (ETC). It’s paired with a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission for smooth shifting.
- New Chrome Muffler End Caps: These end caps with black accents complete the 2-1-2 exhaust system.
- Road Tech Zumo 660 GPS Navigation: This system is integrated into the handlebars and allows voice navigation commands through the speakers. The GPS can be removed for use in other vehicles.
- Upgraded Entertainment System: The bike includes an 8GB Apple iPod nano® with a Harley-Davidson logo, an iPod holder in the saddlebag, and a radio interface that charges the iPod and integrates it with hand controls. The Harman/Kardon Advanced Audio system includes four high-performance BOOM! Audio speakers, XM satellite radio, CB/intercom with headsets, and a custom amplifier.
- Comfortable Two-Up Touring Seat: The new seat design with leather inserts keeps the rider and passenger comfortable on long rides, while dual heat controls offer added comfort. The seat is narrower at the front for better leg reach, and the passenger backrest includes adjustable lumbar support.
- New 16-Inch Windshield: The lightly smoked windshield has a reduced angle to minimize wind turbulence in the cockpit.
- Wind Deflectors: These deflectors, fitted to the engine guard, help reduce turbulence and enhance rider comfort.
- Chrome Agitator Wheels: 18-inch wheels on both the front and rear add to the bike’s premium look.
- New Chrome Handlebar: This internally wired, one-inch-diameter handlebar offers a more comfortable shape for the rider.
- Hard Saddlebags and Deluxe Tour-Pak®: These offer ample storage and come with color-matched LED brake lights, a luggage rack, and a power locking system controlled by a key fob.
- Rumble Collection Accents: Chrome highlights on footboard inserts, shifter pegs, brake pedal, highway pegs, and hand grips provide added flair.
- New Diamond-Cut Trim: The CB pod, Screamin' Eagle 110 intake, and Tour-Pak lid feature stylish diamond-cut trim.
The bike comes with a Customer Care Package, which includes a tool kit, microfiber cloth, and an H-D® jiffy stand coaster.
