2027 KTM 690 RALLY Specs, All Features and Tech

GO OUT. MEET YOURSELF.

The KTM 690 RALLY is built for riders who go beyond the familiar. Designed for long-distance off-road travel and Rally Raid-inspired performance, it delivers the range, control, and capability to push deeper into the unknown.

01. PRE-RIDE

Rally Bodywork

Improved control in off-road conditions

Slim, rally-inspired bodywork is designed for rider movement and control, allowing easy transitions between seated and standing riding in technical terrain.

Dual Front Fuel Tanks

GO FURTHER BETWEEN STOPS

The KTM 690 RALLY features two additional front-mounted fuel tanks, adding 1.84 gallons (7 liters), working together with the rear tank to bring total fuel capacity to 5.28 gallons (20 liters). A dedicated fuel management system allows riders to actively switch between front and rear tanks via the handlebar-mounted switch cube, with the reserve light corresponding to the selected tank. This provides maximum flexibility and control when riding in remote terrain.

Rally Tower & Windshield

Reduced fatigue over long distances

A purpose-built rally tower with integrated windshield improves wind protection at higher speeds and over long distances. This reduces fatigue during extended off-road stages and fast liaison sections.

4.2” TFT Display & Connectivity

Stay focused on the terrain

A 4.2″ TFT display delivers clear access to ride modes, navigation, and bike information. The compact layout keeps key data visible without distracting from the terrain ahead.

02. ENGINE

LC4 Single-Cylinder Engine

Proven long-distance performance

The latest-generation LC4 engine delivers strong, reliable performance with extended service intervals, including 15,000 km oil changes. It is designed for long-distance riding and demanding off-road use.

Ride Modes & Electronic Rider Aids

Adapt performance to terrain

The KTM 690 RALLY features multiple Ride Modes, including Street, Off-road, and optional RALLY Mode. In RALLY Mode, riders can adjust traction control and throttle response for precise terrain adaptation.

Advanced rider aids include cornering ABS and cornering MTC, utilizing a 6D sensor to adapt braking and traction control during cornering. Dynamic Slip Adjust, available in RALLY Mode, automatically increases wheel spin when additional traction is required, before returning to the rider’s preset setting.

Braktec Brake & Clutch System

Precise rider input

The Braktec hydraulic system provides consistent braking and clutch performance for precise rider control. It is integrated with the optional Quickshifter+ system, enabling seamless up- and downshifts without clutch input.

OFFROAD ABS

Greater braking control off-road

OFFROAD ABS allows riders to disable ABS on the rear wheel while retaining front-wheel assistance. A dedicated ABS-off button also enables full deactivation of ABS when needed. This improves braking control on loose surfaces and steep descents.

LED Lighting

LIGHT UP THE DARKNESS

LED lighting, derived from the KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA, delivers strong visibility in low-light and poor weather conditions, improving rider awareness on and off-road.

03. CONTROL

Footpegs

FIND YOUR FOOTING

Wide “no-dirt” footpegs prevent mud build-up and provide consistent grip. Optional rubber inserts can be fitted for increased comfort during road use.

Rider Ergonomics

Freedom of movement

The rider triangle is designed to allow unrestricted movement, supporting both seated riding and standing control across varied terrain.

Seat

Comfort across long stages

The 35.8 in (910 mm) seat height and ergonomic shape allow fluid rider movement while providing comfort during longer liaison sections between off-road stages.

04. CHASSIS

BREMBO Brakes

STOPPING POWER

Brembo brakes with 300 mm front and 240 mm rear discs deliver strong and consistent stopping power across on-road and off-road conditions.

WP XPLOR Suspension

Control across all terrain

WP XPLOR front forks feature separate compression and rebound damping adjustability, while the rear shock offers full adjustability, including rebound, high- and low-speed compression, and preload. This allows riders to precisely adapt suspension performance to different terrain and riding conditions.

Wheels and Tires

Grip across mixed surfaces

A 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup, combined with Continental TKC 80 tires, delivers reliable grip and durability across dirt, gravel, and mixed-surface riding.
