2000-2006 Yamaha Blaster Maintenance Schedule Intervals

The Yamaha Blaster 200 is a compact and lightweight all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that was designed as an entry-level machine, produced from 1988 to 2006. Known for its affordable price, the Blaster quickly gained popularity among ATV enthusiasts, who continue to enjoy modifying and riding it even today. Powered by a 195cc two-stroke engine, the Blaster is known for its easily modifiable design, with a wide range of aftermarket parts available. From simple bolt-on upgrades to big bore kits and suspension modifications, riders can boost the performance and power of this agile quad. Despite its age, the Blaster continues to hold its own against modern four-stroke machines. 

The Blaster’s engine shares its origins with the Yamaha DT200, and with some modifications, it’s even possible to swap parts from various models like the WR200. Throughout its production run, the Blaster received several key updates, including a re-styled nose and improved brake systems. In 2003, Yamaha upgraded the Blaster with hydraulic disc brakes and relocated the headlight for a sleeker design. Although it was discontinued in 2007 due to emissions regulations, its legacy lives on, with many still considering it a top performer in its class, offering solid performance and a nostalgic riding experience.

●For ATVs equipped with an odometer or an hour meter, follow the km (mi) or hours maintenance          intervals. 
●However, keep in mind that if the ATV isn’t used for a long period of time, the month maintenance        intervals should be followed.
●Items marked with an asterisk should be performed by a Yamaha dealer as they require special tools,      data and technical skills.

●When disassembling the master cylinders or caliper cylinders, replace the brake fluid. Normally check the brake fluid level and add fluid as required.

●On the inner parts of the master cylinders and caliper cylinders, replace the oil seals every two years.

●Replace the brake hoses every four years, or if cracked or damaged.
