The CBR1000RR-R received a specification update in 2024, which included changes to the shape of the fairing below the headlight (winglet, middle cowl, and under cowl). The engine was also updated with modifications to the cylinder head shape and the valve opening and closing timing. The throttle-by-wire system was changed to a two-motor setup, enabling independent control of each pair of cylinders. The transmission gear ratios were also revised. The “SP” is a premium model featuring Öhlins electronically controlled suspension and Brembo brake calipers on the front.
